Subscription Rates for 2007
T
he committee have decided that the Subscriptions need to be increased by £5.00 with effect from 1 April 2007. The new rates will, however, apply to new members as soon as the I-Subs Secure Payment page has been updated. This page is also being amended to reduce the rates every 2 months instead of 3 as at present, so the effect on new joiners will be relatively small.

The SINGER NATIONAL CAR RALLY (SNCR) 2006

Our 2006 SNCR was also a celebration of 30 years since ASCO was formed.  It was held in Norfolk over the weekend of 20th - 23rd July, starting on the Thursday evening with a get-together at the Queen's Head in Hethersett.
On Friday we assembled on Sainsbury's car park in Wymondham for a drive to Caister Castle, where we saw one of the few remaining Airstreams. Then on to the How Hill nature reserve where John Davis of the Broads Authiority gave us a very interesting talk on the origin anfd history of the Broads.  In the evening we went to Barry Paine's almost restored cottage in Little Melton for a Spares Meet and deliciuos buffet supper prepared by Anne.
Our meeting place on Saturday was the picturesque Market Place in Wymondham, before setting off to the old Roman town of Venta Icenorum.   Next came the Whittlingham Country Park, the newest 'Broad' for lunch, after which we went to Horning for a trip on the Mississipi River Boat.
Saturday evening was a special dinner at the Ugly Bug Inn, Colton, in celebration of 30 years of ASCO.

Sunday morning saw us at the 150 acre Fritton lake, reputedly East Anglia's most beautiful stretch of water, then for the main SNCR eevent we moved to Somerleyton Hall. A full report is being prepared and will be posted as soon as possible.

The facility to Join ASCO and pay or renew subscriptions On-Line has now been restored using I-Subs more user friendly system through Secure Web Services Ltd.  We regret we have had to add a small surcharge for using this system (to cover the commission charges), but we hope you will find the convenience of paying On-Line and saving in postage virtually outweigh this.

You can, of course, still pay by cheque - CLICK HERE for an Application Form to print off. The Form has been amended so that you pay only the amount to take you to the end of ASCO's financial year.
