ASCO CHAIRMAN

The Chairman of ASCO is Simon Bishop, who was a founder member of the Club and has been on the Committee and Singer Senior & Vintage Registrar ever since.  His interest in cars started at the age of 12 when he and his brother were given an old AC three-wheeler,

which they drove around their garden.  A 1935 Morris 8 followed, on which Simon learned his basic car mechanics.  When he was 15 he bought a 1936 Austin 7 Special - in bits.  He rebuilt it and this was the first car he drove (officially?) on the road.  Simon still has the Special and uses it regularly.  Simon also has a 1933 Austin 7 Box saloon which he has just fully restored, a 1925 Singer 10/26, a 1929 Singer Senior 'AS-U-Dryve' saloon which he is currently restoring, and a 1935 Le Mans 9hp.   Click on links for pictures of Simon's cars.
